1.

               FADE IN:

               EXT. COUNTRY ROAD -- NIGHT

               We tilt down from a bright full moon to reveal a deserted 
               country road bordered on all sides by densely-packed trees.

                                     SCREENWRITER (V.O.)
                         So the movie opens, and we're on 
                         this spooky, deserted country road-

                                     MOVIE EXEC (V.O.)
                         No good.  Have it take place in the 
                         city.

                                     SCREENWRITER (V.O.)
                         Uh...OK...

                                                                    CUT TO:

               EXT. CITY ALLEY -- NIGHT

               We're in a poorly-lit, rundown alleyway filled with ominous 
               shadows.  Brick buildings tower over it on either side.  

                                     SCREENWRITER (V.O.)
                         ...So we're in this spooky city alley, 
                         and suddenly this guy comes walking 
                         around the corner, and he's all 
                         nervous -

               A MAN (30's) in an overcoat walks around the corner and 
               proceeds quickly and nervously down the alley.

                                     MOVIE EXEC (V.O.)
                         Make it a girl.

                                                                    CUT TO:

               EXT. CITY ALLEY -- NIGHT

               The man has been replaced by A DARK-HAIRED GIRL (30's), who 
               continues to walk quickly and nervously down the alley.

                                     SCREENWRITER (V.O.)
                         OK, suddenly a girl -

                                     MOVIE EXEC (V.O.)
                         And she's gotta be a blonde.

               EXT. CITY ALLEY -- NIGHT

               A BLOND-HAIRED GIRL (30's) has replaced the Dark-Haired Girl.  
               She continues down the alley.

                                     SCREENWRITER (V.O.)
                         Suddenly, a blond-haired girl -

                                     MOVIE EXEC (V.O.)
                         In her twenties.

                                                                    CUT TO:

               EXT. CITY ALLEY -- NIGHT

               A younger BLONDE (20's) replaces the former, still walking 
               down the alley.

                                     SCREENWRITER (V.O.)
                         Suddenly, a blond-haired girl in her 
                         twenties-

                                     MOVIE EXEC (V.O.)
                         And she's gotta be wearing high heels.

                                                                    CUT TO:

               EXT. CITY ALLEY -- NIGHT

               The same blonde stumbles down the alley, now in high heels. 

                                     SCREENWRITER (V.O.)
                              (exasperated)
                         OK, a twenty-something blonde in 
                         high heels is walking nervously down 
                         the alley.

               The blonde stumbles past a shadowy dumpster.  A beat, then 
               we push forward into the shadows.  

                                     SCREENWRITER (V.O.) (CONT'D)
                         Then, this guy comes out of the 
                         shadows.

               A MAN suddenly appears from the shadows (we do not see his 
               face).

               INT. MOVIE EXEC'S OFFICE -- DAY

               We are in a cluttered office, with numerous movie posters on 
               the walls.  

               A pony-tailed MOVIE EXEC (30's) is seated behind a desk.  A 
               young, frustrated-looking SCREENWRITER (20's) is across from 
               him.

               A beat while the movie exec lights a cigar. 

                                     MOVIE EXEC
                         So what does he look like?

                                     SCREENWRITER
                         Well...actually, sir, I was thinking 
                         he'd look just like you.

                                     MOVIE EXEC
                         Really!  I'm flattered!  So what 
                         happens next?

                                                                    CUT TO:

               EXT. CITY ALLEY -- NIGHT

               The movie exec emerges from the shadows and approaches the 
               blonde from behind.

                                     MOVIE EXEC
                         Excuse me, ma'am!

               The blonde whirls around, startled. 

                                     MOVIE EXEC (CONT'D)
                         Isn't it a little dangerous for you 
                         to be walking alone so late at night?

               The girl looks at him for a beat, then suddenly, her mouth 
               springs open revealing a pair of huge fangs.  She lunges at 
               him, and we:

                                                              SMASH CUT TO:

               BLACK
